We insist that even today, electricity tariffs for the population can be lowered, and this should be done not at the expense of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), but at the expense of Samvel Karapetyan’s personal profit, said David Ghazinyan, former acting CEO of ENA, during a press briefing.

“This change must happen very quickly so that our citizens can benefit from cheaper electricity as soon as possible,” he added.

Commenting on claims that ENA improved its position in the list of Armenia’s top 1,000 taxpayers in the last quarter—rising from 21st to 18th place—Ghazinyan called those statements manipulative.

“In the first quarter, ENA was in 9th place. Last year, it was 18th in the second quarter, 12th in one quarter, and 19th in another,” Ghazinyan noted.
