“I cannot say whether there is a trend of emigration or not, because it is not part of our work, there is a big wall between municipalities and schools.

I can mention that if any parent or other citizen who wants to organize a protest on some issue, it is the responsibility of the Glendale City Council to ensure that these people can hold their protests safely and without conflicts,” Armenian member of the Glendale City Council told Alpha News.

According to Elen Asatryan, parents have the right to know what their child is being taught and their position for or against it.

“If someone doesn’t want their child to read that book, they can tell the school board that they don’t want their child to read it,” Elen Asatryan said.

It should be noted that recently, parents of Armenian schoolchildren living in the state of California, USA, organized protests against the teaching of sex education in public schools. In schools, children are taught that they can choose their gender.
