Elizabeth Chouldjian: Biden administration is complicit in forced displacement of Artsakh people

The US government and the Biden administration are complicit in forced displacement of the people of Artsakh, ANCA spokesperson Elizabeth Chouldjian said in an interview with Alpha News.
“Azerbaijan clearly committed genocide against the people of Artsakh. Today we see how 120,000 of our compatriots leave their ancestral lands. Over the past 30 years, the US has supported Azerbaijan by providing it with military aid, at the same time being aware that Azerbaijan is continuously attacking Artsakh and Armenia. It did not take the necessary steps, thus becoming complicit in all this,” Chouldjian said.
She is convinced that if the Biden administration does not impose any sanctions on Azerbaijan, Syunik will find itself in a similar situation.
“The Armenian Committee of America is working with the leaders of the Congress to allocate about 30 million dollars to the displaced people of Artsakh. But there is another problem here. We know that Azerbaijan will not be satisfied with the depopulation of Artsakh. Today Syunik is also in danger. In this case, if the Biden administration does not impose any sanctions on Azerbaijan, Syunik will end up in the same situation,” Chouldjian concluded.
