Employees of Hrazdan cement plant protest demanding salary payments

Workers at the cement plant in Hrazdan staged a protest, demanding the payment of their wages. Employees of the facility, which is one of the two cement plants in the country, claim they have not received their salaries for over a year. The situation worsened after bankruptcy proceedings were initiated, which, according to them, only deepened the crisis.

The plant’s management, in turn, states that the company is unable to settle its debts due to the non-repayment of approximately $1.5 million, which triggered the financial crisis and the start of bankruptcy.
