Erik Arutiunian wins tennis tournament in Uzbekistan

Belarusian tennis player of Armenian origin Erik Arutiunian (No. 778) became the winner of the ITF Tournament in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The prize fund is $15,000.

On his way to the finals, Arutiunian defeated Kazakhstan’s Iliyas Maratuly, Russia’s Alexandr Binda and Amirkhamza Nasridinov, as well as Japan’s Yuichiro Inui.

In the deciding game, Arutiunian beat Czech tennis player Dominik Palan (557) 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 in two games.
