The European Union will provide €15 million to Armenia to support peacebuilding and resilience efforts, EU High Representative Kaja Kallas announced at a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos in Brussels.

“Several initiatives will be implemented — training in demining, and the provision of equipment,” Kallas said.

She emphasized that Armenia faces challenges in the information domain, but it has the support of the European Union in this area as well.

The sixth meeting of the EU-Armenia Partnership Council is taking place in Brussels. Following the meeting, Armenia and the EU signed the Strategic Partnership Agenda. The document was signed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.
