EU mission in Armenia mainly focuses on issues that interest Western alliances — Lavrov

The EU monitoring mission in Armenia focuses mainly on issues of importance to Western alliances rather than Armenia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in a press conference on Tuesday.

He also commented on the signing of the document on strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States.

“I have heard that Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will sign a strategic partnership agreement, but, again, this is a sovereign decision of the two states. What matters is not what was signed or what it is called, but what it entails,” Lavrov said.
