EU remains fully committed to supporting implementation of Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement – Antonio Costa

The EU remains fully committed to supporting the implementation of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and to strengthening regional connectivity, helping communities overcome years of conflict and move toward lasting peace, stability, and prosperity, President of the European Council Antonio Costa said in a post on X.

“I had very positive phone calls this week with President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan. The historic initialing of the Agreement on Peace and the Establishment of Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan marks a significant step forward toward a lasting peace — for both countries and the wider region,” he said.
