EUMA Corrects Its Statement About Shooting Incident

The European Union Mission in Armenia deleted the post refuting the statement of the RA Ministry of Defense and admitted that the shooting incident took place in their area of responsibility.

Recently, the European Union Mission in Armenia deleted the post refuting the statement of the RA Ministry of Defense and posted a correcting statement on its X account:

“We confirm that EUMA patrol has been present to the shooting incident in our area of responsibility. No EUMA member was harmed.”

Earlier, it was reported that on August 15, at around 12:20 p.m., Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from small arms targeting the EU observers and their vehicle in the vicinity of Verin Shorzha. Then, the EUMA account on X refuted the statement of the RA Ministry of Defense, calling it false.
