EUMA revises statement on Yeraskh plant

On its account on X, the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) stated that in recent weeks, it regularly patrolled in Yeraskh area to observe and oversee the dismantling of the steel plant.

“By our presence, we contributed to the safe and secure transport of the material and the equipment to a new location”, the statement said.

However, later the statement was revised:

“EUMA has been regularly patrolling in the Yeraskh area, including the steel plant, to observe any security and military developments. By our presence, we have contributed to safer and more secure environment.”

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces periodically fire at the Armenian-American plant under construction in Yeraskh.
