Eurasian Development Bank: Economic activity in Armenia increased by 10.7% in January 2024

Analysts of the Eurasian Development Bank presented their weekly macroeconomic review. 

According to the review, economic activity in Armenia increased by 10.7% in January 2024. The growth was driven by industry (+21.0% YoY), trade (+19.3% YoY), and services (+4.4% YoY).
 
Industry provided about 4 p.p. of growth in economic activity due to the processing of gold jewelry. The 2.1-fold increase YoY in exports was mainly due to the growth in supplies of gold jewelry.
