European Parliament adopts two resolutions calling for sanctions against Azerbaijan

The European Parliament adopted two resolutions calling for immediate sanctions against Azerbaijan, Artur Hovhannisyan, Secretary of the ruling Civil Contract Party in the Armenian National Assembly, announced on Facebook.
“The European Parliament adopted two resolutions on foreign policy and EU security and defense policy, calling on the EU:
-To immediately impose sanctions against Azerbaijan and suspend the Memorandum of Understanding on Energy
-To be prepared to impose targeted and individual sanctions against Azerbaijan’s political and military leadership and suspend Azerbaijani oil and natural gas imports in the event of any military aggression by Azerbaijan against Armenia
-To strengthen the mandate of the EU mission in Armenia, increase its size, extend its term, and deploy observers on the border with Turkey
-To stop negotiations on a new partnership agreement with Azerbaijan.”
