European Peace Facility to provide Armenia with €20 million to strengthen its army

The European Peace Facility will provide Armenia with €20 million to strengthen its armed forces. The decision was approved by the 27 EU member states.

Yerevan submitted its application for this assistance a year ago, but Hungary blocked the initiative at that time, demanding similar support for Azerbaijan. Now Hungary has had withdrawn its veto.

In 2024, Armenia received €10 million from the fund.
