The exhibition “Wounds of Memory: Armenian Genocide in Words and Images” will open at the Armenian Museum of Moscow on April 23, according to the museum’s official website.

The exhibition explores one of the darkest chapters of the 20th century. It reveals the historical context of the Genocide, beginning with the circumstances faced by Armenians and culminating in events such as deportation, forced assimilation, the destruction of cultural heritage, and the formation of the Diaspora.

The exhibition presents eyewitness testimonies and documents illustrating the scale of the tragedy and the world’s reaction to these events.
