On August 23, the psychological drama Feast of Predators based on the novel of Vahe Qacha was staged in the Palace of Culture and Youth of Stepanakert. The play tells the story of people living in occupied Paris during the Second World War and the difficulties of remaining human in such a situation.
It is the second time this play has been staged in Stepanakert.

It was first staged in 1988, during the Artsakh movement, when the people faced the problem “to be or not to be”.

“This time the play is staged during the days of the blockade, when people who find themselves in a difficult social, political and psychological situation must make a choice and remain true to their vocation.

Again, we are faced with the question “to be, or not to be”, Karine Alaverdyan, the head of the literary and art department of Stepanakert Drama Theater after Vahram Papazyan, said in an interview with Artsakhtert.

She believes that the Stepanakert Theater has done a good and dedicated job in difficult conditions. It should be noted that due to the blockade, the director of the theater remained in Yerevan, and People’s Artist of the Republic of Artsakh Kajik Harutyunyan was responsible for staging.
