Fedya Chobanyan and Gregor Balkian crowned UNF Rising Star Champions in Semi-Professional MMA

Armenian fighters Fedya Chobanyan and Gregor Balkian claimed the UNF Rising Star semi-professional MMA titles in Los Angeles.

Chobanyan (7-1) defeated Isaac Velasquez (2-1) by unanimous decision and defended the lightweight title. He announced a move to professional MMA following his win.

Balkian (5-4) defeated Jonathan Winland (3-1) by first-round submission to become the welterweight champion.

Additionally, at UNF 25, Sevak Hakobyan won by first-round knockout.
