All this clearly shows that there are disagreements within Iran’s spiritual, military, and political circles, and the recent meeting with Armenia’s ambassador indicates that the spiritual wing has prevailed in Iran, international relations expert Grigor Balasanyan told Alpha News, referring to the statement of Ali Akbar Velayati, the Supreme Leader’s advisor on international affairs. Velayati said that Trump’s plan for the Caucasus is essentially the same as the “Zangezur corridor” project, and that Iran strongly opposes it.

“The spiritual leader of Iran is warning regional states not to engage in adventurism and not to try to disguise it with economic miracles or unrealistic projects. This statement once again proves that the claims that Iran has given its consent regarding the corridor are baseless,” Balasanyan emphasized.

According to the expert, Iran will not permit the presence of various organizations and especially foreign forces in the region.

“That TRIPP will be used by Israel to exert pressure on Iran is obvious. TRIPP is only needed by those forces that want to promote the Turanian idea or put pressure on Iran,” Grigor Balasanyan noted.
