The State Service for Food Safety of Armenia considers the sharp increase in cases of violations in Armenian goods imported to Russia to be alarming, the website of the service says.
The State Service For Food Safety of Armenia states that cases of detection by the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) of quarantine pests in cargo exported from Armenia to Russia in the period from November 24 to 26 increased 110 times compared to the previous 11 months.
It is alarming that of the 72 violations recorded by the relevant department of Russia in the cargo exported from Armenia during 2023, half (36) were detected within almost 11 months, and the other half was detected in just 3 days. And this is when, according to the statement of the Russian department, the inspections were carried out in a working order without changing the control procedure.
The inspection body will now and in the future respond to all cases of violations and take control measures for all cases specified in the application with respect to all cargo, expecting consistent and impartial cooperation from the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of Russia.
