The report published by Armenia’s Foreign Intelligence Service is political in nature and hardly meets the criteria typical of intelligence service reports, political scientist Ara Poghosyan said in an interview with Alpha News.
According to him, when reading the report, one gets the impression that it was compiled not with intelligence logic, but with political reasoning.
“Intelligence services usually issue reports of a completely different nature and quality, while in this case we see political statements that are also voiced by the country’s political authorities—about hybrid attacks, foreign interference, and influence on elections,” Poghosyan said.
The political scientist also drew attention to the sections concerning Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, emphasizing that the report attempts to substantiate the statements of the current authorities, particularly those of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. In his assessment, this once again confirms the politicized character of the report.
