France PM arrives at Élysée Palace to hand Macron his resignation letter

French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal has arrived at the Élysée Palace to hand his resignation to President Emmanuel Macron, BFMTV reports.

Attal earlier said he would resign on the morning of July 8 but would stay in the office until a new government is formed.
