Gaining independence is a struggle, living independently is paramount for an Armenian – Primate of Artsakh Diocese
Independence and gaining independence is a special kind of struggle, it is an honorable struggle, it is immortality, the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, said at the gathering dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia.
“Gaining independence is a difficult path, but what is much more difficult is to retain it. In this regard, it is a great honor for all those who, on the way to independence, not only managed to brilliantly implement all those plans that were aimed at gaining it but also died for the sake of this independence, because for an Armenian, living independently is of paramount importance. When we look back at this 34-year path, we realize that our boys and you, who are sitting here, have passed it with honor,” he said.
