Gaspar Karapetyan: RA government statements that Artsakh is part of Azerbaijan are unacceptable to us
Statements by the RA government that Artsakh is part of Azerbaijan are unacceptable to us, the head of the European office of ANCA, Gaspar Karapetyan, said live on Alpha News.
“The military build-up over the last few days suggested such an outcome. The simultaneous opening of roads through Lachin and Akna was another trap for Azerbaijan to achieve what it wanted. They succeeded, but we were caught off guard, although it seems that the Artsakh defense army is resisting with all its potential, and Azerbaijan has not made serious progress,” Karapetyan said.
During the conversation, he also presented the actions they were taking.
“We immediately contacted our partners in the European Union and sent an open letter to Charles Michel. We also sent letters to Toivo Klaar and the director of Charles Michel’s office. We also spoke with our colleagues from the Hay Data committees, who have already started working in their countries. At the moment, we are actively working with the organization ‘Europeans for Artsakh’.
We are doing all this in support of Artsakh, since the statements of the RA government that Artsakh is part of Azerbaijan are unacceptable to us,” Karapetyan noted.
