German Armenians receive anonymous threatening calls claiming to be from Turks or Azerbaijanis — Gurgen Petrosyan

Gurgen Petrosyan, President of the Armenian-German Bar Association, expressed his bewilderment in an interview with Alpha News regarding anonymous calls made to Armenians, in which they were insulted and threatened.

“This is directly related to April 24, as just yesterday our compatriots, as well as one of our association members, received two such calls. The methodology is the same: first they address by name, i.e. they supposedly know the person, and after confirming the name, they introduce themselves as Turks or Azerbaijanis and begin shouting sexually explicit insults and making threats,” he said.

According to him, some of these calls were made by women.

“We are still trying to understand whether this is the work of a single individual or if it resembles an organized campaign. In any case, the individuals who received such calls noted that they also heard a female voice,” Petrosyan added.
