Armenians of the Netherlands staged a protest near the Armenian embassy and tried to forward a letter, expressing their disagreement with the statements of the Armenian government that it recognizes Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan, Gevorg Bagratuni, the head of National United Armenia NGO, said live on Alpha News.

“Unfortunately, today’s rally was directed not at the embassy of Turkiye or Azerbaijan, but at the embassy of Armenia. We wanted to express our protest and disagreement with the path chosen by the Armenian leadership to recognize Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan.

We tried to present our disagreement to the embassy in the form of a letter, saying that we were not satisfied with the path chosen by the Armenian government. We do not want to see Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan under any circumstances. Independent Artsakh has never been part of Azerbaijan and will never be,” Bagratuni noted.

According to him, the embassy informed them through the police that it would not accept the letter without even knowing what they were asking for.

“This was our message. Unfortunately, the embassy’s reaction was expected but unbearable. It even informed us through the police that it would not accept the letter without knowing its contents. Some people or media channels thought that this was directed against the Armenian embassy, but that was not the case. The meaning was not to express enmity against the embassy, but it was our protest against the path chosen by the Armenian government.

We were really satisfied with the number of people participating in the rally, more than 100 people. Let’s hope that it will get things going. We have the right to express our disagreement,” Bagratuni concluded.
