Gevorg Grigoryan, first Armenian to conquer Victory Peak

Actor Gevorg Grigoryan became the first Armenian to conquer Victory Peak, a 7,439-meter-high mountain peak in Kakshaal-Too, the highest point of the Tian Shan and Kyrgyzstan.

The actor shared the photos on social media. The ascent to the peak was dedicated to International Mountaineer’s Day, which was celebrated on August 8.

The peak was named in 1946 to commemorate the Soviet victory in World War II. It is among the five 7,000-meter-high giants in the post-Soviet area.
