Giorgio Petrosyan wins farewell fight against Joao Souza, ending legendary career

On November 22, at the Allianz Cloud arena in Milan, a historic moment unfolded in the world of kickboxing. At PetrosyanMania 2025, the legendary Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan held the final professional fight of his career and defeated Brazil’s Joao Souza by unanimous decision.

Before his last career bout, all 22 of Petrosyan’s previous trophies were carried into the arena. In the ring stood his 23rd championship belt, which he defended one final time.

This fight marked the 116th bout in the career of the 39-year-old Armenian fighter and delivered his 109th victory—a bright and symbolic conclusion to his more than twenty-year journey in professional sports.
