Grigor Balasanyan: Turkish Armed Forces delegation is in Azerbaijan, I don’t think it went there to drink tea

Speaking with Alpha News, international affairs expert Grigor Balasanyan noted that Aliyev is lying when he states that 300 thousand Azerbaijanis lived in Armenia.
“There were never 300 thousand Azerbaijanis living in Soviet Armenia; there were about 160-170 thousand. Aliyev is falsifying facts. We all know that the Azerbaijanis have their eye on Syunik, saying that it is ‘Western Azerbaijan,’ and Armenia does not react in any way.
The Aliyevs want to return to their ancestral home in the Sisian region; they do not even hide it. On what basis do they talk about the return of 300 thousand Azerbaijanis to Zangezur? The Azerbaijanis voluntarily left Armenia without property obligations, and Armenia had no property or financial obligations to the Azerbaijanis who left,” the expert noted.
According to him, this issue needs to be approached more seriously.
“We need to approach this issue much more seriously to understand that a catastrophe is coming. Aliyev is preparing the ground for an armed attack, so as not to say later, like, I told you, but you did not hear me. Aliyev tells the international community to restrain Armenia, because ‘Armenia is arming itself on an unprecedented scale.’ That is, he sees the two guns that we bought but ignores the dozens of weapons that he acquired. Of course, what he says is a lie, but any war has diplomatic preparation. At the moment, Aliyev is actively preparing diplomatically to invade Armenia,” Balasanyan emphasized.
He noted that recently the Turkish and Azerbaijani military have been holding serious discussions that will be fatal for Armenia.
“The Turkish Armed Forces delegation has been in Azerbaijan for a week now. They hold meetings and discussions every day. I don’t think they went there to drink tea and listen to mugham. They came to Azerbaijan to discuss very serious issues, and all this can be fatal for Armenia. That is why it is necessary to approach this very seriously and finally understand that Aliyev’s goal is not to establish peace; his goal is to create an imitation of peace. Unfortunately, the times of living in peace are over,” Grigor Balasanyan concluded.
