‘Groundless demarche’: Lukashenko comments on Armenia’s refusal to attend CSTO session

At the expanded session of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Minsk on Thursday, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko commented on Armenia’s refusal to attend the meeting, stating that issues should be resolved at the negotiating table and not through demarches.

“We all accepted that there have always been and will be some issues. Yet, if we want to solve them, we should sit down at the negotiating table instead of making groundless demarches,” he said.

It should be noted that this is the first time that the CSTO session has been held without Armenia’s participation.
