World-renowned Lebanese-Armenian composer and pianist Guy Manoukian performed the legendary Armenian song “Zartir Lao” (“Wake up, my son”) at the famous Olympia Hall in Paris.

This powerful piece, deeply rooted in Armenian folk tradition, pays tribute to Arabo, the legendary fedayi (freedom fighter) who led the resistance against Ottoman oppression.

The song is in the style of a traditional Armenian lullaby: a mother addresses her infant in the cradle, telling about the suffering of the people and the exploits of Arabo. With love and pain, she urges her son to grow up to be a freedom fighter.

This touching moment in Paris was not just a musical event, but a true act of cultural remembrance and patriotic spirit.
