As a result of the Israeli-Palestinian war, we have no casualties among the Armenian community, Hakob Sevan, a member of the ANCA in Jerusalem, told Alpha News.

“We have no casualties among the Armenian community. Last week, we started to do some preparations together with the patriarchate. We are concerned that if the war continues, Jerusalem, as the central city, may become a refuge for Armenians. So far, there is no threat, but it could happen that the Armenians will seek refuge in Jerusalem,” Sevan said.

According to him, there are reports that the Israeli army suffered heavy losses.

“According to some information, huge damage was done to the Israeli forces. Hamas even threatens that if Israel comes closer and tries to enter Gaza, there will be new surprises for it. Israel announced a little while ago that they managed to free a girl who was kidnapped on October 7 in the early days of the war,” Sevan said.

According to Hakob Sevan, nothing stops Hamas militants; they continue firing rockets in the direction of Israel.

“Hamas forces released a video where three kidnapped women were calling for their release. There is a psychological battle between the two sides. There are quite heated battles going on. Nothing stops Hamas; it continues firing rockets at Israel,” Sevan concluded.
