Hamlet Manukyan wins silver at World Challenge Cup in Paris

Armenian gymnast Hamlet Manukyan won the silver medal at the World Challenge Cup in artistic gymnastics, held in Paris.
In the pommel horse final, the 18-year-old athlete scored 14.800 points, finishing second behind Kazakhstan’s Nariman Kurbanov (15.066). The bronze medal went to Italy’s Gabriele Targetta (14.733).
Notably, during the qualification round, Manukyan performed a brand-new element on the pommel horse, which has now been officially recognized and named after him — the “Manukyan”.
