Armenia’s representative Hayk Martirosyan is the sole leader of the international chess tournament “19th Agzamov Memorial,” taking place in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

In round 8, the chess player defeated Uzbek grandmaster Abdimalik Abdisattorov. Martirosyan has scored 5 wins and drawn 3 games, accumulating 6.5 points.

Grandmasters Artyom Uskov and Nikita Afanasiev, along with international masters Muhammadzohid Suyarov and Bakhrom Bakhrillaev from Uzbekistan, are trailing Martirosyan by half a point.
