In the new episode of the Frog Talks podcast with Andrea Ranocchia, Henrikh Mkhitaryan said that he will stay in Milan until his son grows older and decides whether he wants to play football or not.
“I’ve always said I wanted to stay in Milan, but my son plays football, so it depends on that. If he wants to play football, we can stay here in Milan and he can start here, and then we will see where that will take him. If he’ll have a chance to play as a professional; otherwise, we’ll go back to Armenia,” he said.
Mkhitaryan spoke about his plans after retirement, saying that they would not involve football.
“I don’t think my retirement will involve football. There’s plenty of other things to do. First off, I want to spend as much time as possible with my family and my friends. I want to learn new things I can use in my life. I want to learn how to cook.
Maybe some players become coaches because they don’t want to spend time at home. As a footballer, I have already spent my time at the training ground. I think being a coach takes up even more time; you have to analyze the session and then speak to the players. I like giving advice, but…Maybe I will think about being a director of sport,” he said.
