‘Historic significance for the entire region’ – Tokayev on Washington agreements

Speaking at the International Forum of Peace and Trust in Ashgabat, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the Washington agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan open up new broad opportunities for the development of cooperation in the South Caucasus and beyond.

Tokayev emphasized that the signing of the joint declaration by Yerevan and Baku has historic significance and paves the way for long-term stability. He expressed hope for the swift signing of a comprehensive peace treaty.
