Hovhannes Tumanyan’s 155th anniversary event held in Moscow

The Cultural Center of the Armenian Embassy in Russia hosted a cultural event marking the 155th anniversary of the great Armenian poet and writer Hovhannes Tumanyan.
In his opening remarks, Vladimir Gabbe, the head of the center, emphasized the universal value of Tumanyan’s works, noting that they were not only highly appreciated by the literary figures of the time but also contributed to the cultural rapprochement of the Armenian people with other nations.
The audience enjoyed a play about the Vernatun literary club, staged by the center’s youth theater studio. The works of the outstanding writer were recited in Armenian and Russian.
The event was attended by members of the Armenian community, Russian cultural figures, professors of Moscow state universities, and staff of the Armenian Embassy in Russia.
