I am sure that official Baku understands allied cooperation’s importance – Mikhail Galuzin

Azerbaijan understands the importance of the alliance with the Russian Federation, and Moscow expects Baku to be guided by this in its future steps, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin told reporters when asked about the countries’ relations as the Russian House and Sputnik Azerbaijan had been closed.

“I am sure that official Baku understands the importance of allied cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan. I would like to hope that in their future steps, the Azerbaijani partners will be guided by an understanding of the crucial importance of fulfilling the agreements of our leaders,” he said.

In February, the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Baku, the Russian House, ceased its activities. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported that on February 3, an official note was sent to the Russian side on the termination of the activities of the Russian House in the country due to the lack of proper registration.

Today it was reported that the representative office of Rossiya Segodnya, Sputnik Azerbaijan, has been shut down in Azerbaijan.
