“I don’t know whether to spend the 10,000 drams on medicine or something else”: a survey in Tavush

Residents of the Tavush region share their opposition to every step taken by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“What do I need these pennies for? I am a third-group disabled person, my son is second-group. His pension was cut by 20,000 drams, and my son is unable to work. What can I say? There is nothing to say,” said one survey participant.

Continuing to voice complaints about pensions, residents stressed that they need to be increased by at least 50% to keep pace with current market prices.
“What is 10,000 drams? They use hundred-dollar bills like tissues, and here I am, not knowing whether to spend these 10,000 drams on medicine or something else,” said one resident.
