The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has ceased its visits to Armenian prisoners of war held in Baku, sparking deep concern among their families. Relatives note that the ICRC was the only organization that had the opportunity to check detention conditions, provide medical assistance, deliver essential items, and ensure communication with loved ones.

The last visit took place in June, and since July, access to prisoners has been suspended. At the request of the Azerbaijani authorities, the Red Cross office in Baku is now closing. Now the only remaining channel of communication is through infrequent phone calls made via official channels.

“We have lost our last hope—both us and them,” say the concerned families.
