ICRC to cease operations in Azerbaijan starting in September

Beginning in September, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will end its activities in Azerbaijan.

According to the organization’s communication officer, the ICRC is currently engaged in dialogue with the Azerbaijani side regarding its future work related to individuals protected under international humanitarian law.

Details of the discussions have not been disclosed.
