‘I’m the only one that can beat Ilia Topuria in the lightweight division’ – Arman Tsarukyan

UFC’s No. 2-ranked contender Arman Tsarukyan is convinced that he is the only fighter who can defeat UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria.

“No way (Paddy can beat Ilia). I’m the only one that can beat Ilia, for now, in our division. And everybody knows that. Even the UFC knows that, that’s why they’re trying to push him as much as possible,” Tsarukyan said.

Tsarukyan last stepped into the octagon against Charles Oliveira in April 2024 at UFC 300. The bout ended in Arman’s favor via split decision. His MMA record stands at 22 wins and 3 losses.

Topuria’s most recent bout was also against Charles Oliveira, held in June this year at UFC 317. In that fight, Ilia secured a first-round knockout victory and claimed the UFC lightweight championship title.
