Inflation in Armenia rose to 3.7% year-over-year in September, up from 3.6% in August, according to the Eurasian Development Bank’s weekly macroeconomic review.

In September, food price growth accelerated to 5.8% year-over-year from 4.9% the previous month, driven by global food price trends. Meanwhile, inflation slowed in the services sector (2.8% year-over-year compared to 3.2% the previous month) and in the non-food segment (0.9% year-over-year compared to 1.1%).

Consumer price growth is expected to remain within the Central Bank of Armenia’s target range of 3±1% for the current year.
