Informal CIS summit planned for late December

An informal summit of the leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries will take place in late December, CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev told journalists on Wednesday.

“The heads of the CSTO countries will meet in Astana on November 28, and an informal meeting of the CIS heads of state will take place, as per tradition, at the end of December,” he said.
