Investigative Committee: At least 200 killed, 42 missing as a result of Azerbaijan’s military aggression

As a result of Azerbaijan’s military aggression in Artsakh, more than 200 servicemen and civilians were killed, another 12 servicemen and 30 civilians are missing, the Investigative Committee of Armenia reported.

The Investigative Committee is currently carrying out large-scale operational activities within the framework of the criminal case initiated earlier on Azerbaijan’s crimes against the residents of Artsakh.

The Committee continues its investigation into the illegal blockade of Artsakh, the deprivation of gas and electricity supply to the population, the unleashing of military aggression, and the creation of conditions for the complete or partial destruction of an ethnic group by Azerbaijan’s officials.

According to the data collected during the preliminary investigation, more than 200 servicemen and civilians were killed as a result of the military aggression in Artsakh. Another 12 servicemen and 30 civilians are missing. 14 individuals, including 12 soldiers, were reportedly tortured. Three children were killed; 231 soldiers and 80 civilians were wounded.

Forensic medical examinations are underway. Relatives of the deceased citizens are recognized as victims. The process of identifying the bodies of the deceased continues.

The Investigative Committee continues to collect data and facts about the casualties as well as details of Azerbaijan’s war crimes.

The Investigative Committee once again calls on citizens to present the evidence they have about the crimes of Azerbaijan.
