Investigative Committee initiates criminal proceedings in connection with death of soldier 

On February 6, around 1:20 p.m., a fire broke out under unknown circumstances in a cabin located near the shelter of the combat position of one of the Defense Ministry’s military units.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia reported that the body of reserve soldier Artur Grigoryan, 39, was found after the fire was extinguished.

On the same day, criminal proceedings were initiated at the Third Garrison Investigative Unit of the General Military Investigative Department, in accordance with Article 155, Part 1 of the Armenian Criminal Code.

The scene of the incident was inspected.
Other investigative actions were taken, with forensic and fire-technical examinations being conducted.
