Investigative Committee says no traces of violence on body of Armenian contract soldier

No traces of violence were found on the body of Armenian Armed Forces contract soldier Artak Avalyan, the Armenian Investigative Committee reports.

On May 7, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that the body of contract serviceman Artak Avalyan (born in 1985) with a fatal gunshot wound to the chin was found on the territory of one of the military units.

The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal investigation into this incident.
All servicemen on duty in the combat position have been interrogated. The investigation is underway to further clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
