Iranian FM: Consulate General of Armenia will open in Tabriz in the first weeks of 2024

Iran supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian reiterated at a meeting with his Armenian counterpart.

“Iran fully supports lasting peace in the South Caucasus and the construction of the North–South transport corridor,” Amir-Abdollahian said.

He added that Iran welcomes the Crossroads of Peace project developed by Armenia.

Iranian FM noted that the Consulate General of Armenia is expected to open in Tabriz in the first weeks of the upcoming year.

“We hope that during the first weeks of the new year, my colleague and I will witness the official opening ceremony of the Consulate General in Tabriz,” he said.
