‘3+3’ format meeting kicks off in Tehran, Iranian FM hopes for peace in South Caucasus

The meeting in the ‘3+3’ format has started in Tehran.
The Iranian Foreign Minister has expressed his hope that the platform will establish a basis for peace in the South Caucasus.
“The meeting in the ‘3+3’ format in Tehran will establish a basis for peace in the South Caucasus,” Hossein Amir-Abdollahian noted.
According to him, the platform can also provide a basis for ending challenges in the region.
Amir-Abdollahian has stressed that peace, cooperation and progress are on the agenda of today’s meeting.
Today, the meeting between the Armenian Foreign Minister, Ararat Mirzoyan, and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, also took place.
The parties stated that a high-level political dialogue has been formed between the two neighboring and friendly countries based on mutual respect and the millennial brotherhood of the two peoples.
The Armenian Foreign Minister and the President of Iran stressed the importance of deepening cooperation between the countries in various fields and taking effective steps to implement agreements in this direction.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Ebrahim Raisi also discussed regional and international security issues.
