Iranian President has died in helicopter crash

Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi was killed in a helicopter crash, the Iranian Red Crescent chief reported.
The preliminary cause of the crash is poor weather conditions.
The helicopter crashed in eastern Azerbaijan, near Julfa. There were three helicopters in the motorcade of the Iranian President.
On May 19, the presidents of Iran and Azerbaijan took part in the opening ceremony of the dam built on the Araks River on the border of the two countries.
President Raisi ruled the country since August 3, 2021.
