Kamal Kharrazi, Iran’s former foreign minister and an adviser to the country’s supreme leader, died from injuries sustained during strikes on Tehran. The report was carried by Press TV, citing sources of close ones to Kharrazi.

Mohammad Reza Aref, Iran’s vice president, expressed condolences over Kharrazi’s death, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency.

“Attacks on this prominent figure are clear evidence of the desperation of adversaries who are unable to rationally explain the regime’s strategies on the international stage,” he said.
