Israel-Turkey tensions will not lead to war – Serob Sahakyan

ANCA activist Serob Sahakyan commented on the statement of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan that Turkey might enter Israel in the same way it once entered Nagorno-Karabakh and Libya.
“The ‘shooting’ between Israel and Turkey will remain at the verbal level. These days, the Lebanese front is more tense. I do not think that these tensions will eventually lead to war. Of course, there is a war, but it is not a large-scale war. I do not think that Israel is ready to take such an extreme step. If Israel had war sentiments, it would have already taken this step. Israel is trying in every way to mitigate this issue, to bring it to an end,” Serob Sahakyan said.
He also commented on the attitude of the Armenian community in Israel amid the current tension.
“Despite all the tensions, relations between Israel and Turkey have always been perfect. The Armenian community in Israel does not face a threat to life or safety. We are in such a place that those missiles, fortunately, will not reach us. It is not a state of emergency. Every person has found his way of living and is living,” he said.
